GG's Attention Marketplace
A Celo marketplace where projects fund campaigns, creators post, and payouts follow measured engagement.
1. Summary
GG's lets a Web3 project fund a campaign pool, lets creators post about it, scores the engagement each post earns, and pays creators from the pool. The 10% protocol fee is taken when the campaign is funded. Daily G$ claims from GoodDollar give creators a second reason to use the app.
2. Problem
Projects pay for posts they cannot measure. Impressions and likes are easy to inflate, and many budgets go to accounts that bring no real attention. Creators, especially small ones, are paid late, and often nothing records what was promised. The result is distrust on both sides.
3. Solution
One shared loop that both sides can read: a funded pool, a written brief, a public score for each post, and a recorded payout. Money is committed before work starts, so creators know the reward exists. Scoring is public, so projects know what they paid for.
4. Users
- Projects. Early-stage and developing teams that want real community attention on a small budget.
- Creators and KOLs. Small and mid-size accounts with active audiences, who work in an affiliate-style model: you earn a share of a pool based on results.
5. A campaign, step by step
- Fund. A project deposits CELO into the campaign pool and publishes a brief. The 10% fee is separated automatically.
- Post. Creators join and submit links to their posts.
- Score. GG's converts the engagement on each post into XP.
- Pay. The remaining pool is distributed to creators according to their results. In the current version the GG's admin wallet triggers the batch payout after scoring. Moving toward fully automatic payouts is on the roadmap.
6. Measuring attention
Visibility alone is not the target. The design direction for scoring is to weight actions that cost a person effort (replies, saves, shares, clicks) above passive views, and to compare posts within the same campaign so that a small account with a lively audience can beat a large account with a quiet one.
7. Fees and payouts
| Item | How it works |
|---|---|
| Currency | CELO for funding and payouts. |
| Protocol fee | 10% of each pool, taken automatically when the campaign is funded. |
| Creator share | The remaining 90%, distributed by results. |
| Payout trigger | Admin-triggered batch in the current version. |
| Record | Funding and payouts are recorded publicly on Celo. |
Example: a project funds 100 CELO. The fee is 10 CELO and 90 CELO goes to creators.
8. Daily G$
GoodDollar issues G$ as a basic-income currency. GG's integrates the GoodDollar SDK so a creator can claim their daily G$ in the app. This feature is live on Celo mainnet and has been confirmed by an on-chain transaction. GG's does not issue G$.
9. Token
GG's has no token at this stage. Campaigns run on CELO. If a token is ever introduced, its purpose, supply and vesting will be published here before launch.
10. Go-to-market
- Start with 3 pilot projects and around 10 creators, using the founder's existing Web3 community network.
- Build in public on X and publish every pilot result, including the ones that fall short.
- Engage Celo and GoodDollar builder communities, where the daily G$ claim is a natural fit.
11. Use of funds
| Share | Area | What it delivers |
|---|---|---|
| 40% | Product | Public test version, mainnet launch, security review of the pool contract |
| 25% | Pilots | Reward pools for 3 pilot projects and about 10 creators |
| 20% | Growth | Landing page, domain, consistent content on X |
| 15% | Operations | Tools, hosting and a reserve |
12. Roadmap
- Done: daily G$ claim on mainnet; full campaign cycle on Celo Sepolia.
- Week 1: public test version, creator onboarding, this website.
- Weeks 2 and 3: 3 pilot projects live, first payouts, results published.
- Week 4: pilot review, security review, mainnet readiness.
Weeks count from the start of funding.
13. Risks and open questions
- Fake engagement. Scoring must resist bots and bought activity. This is the core technical risk.
- Disputes. A written brief gives a shared reference. The process for resolving a disagreement is still to be defined.
- Early traction. The product has a small number of external testers. Pilots are how we prove demand.
- Contract security. The pool contract needs an independent review before real money is at stake on mainnet.
- Admin-triggered payouts. Until payouts are automatic, users trust the admin wallet to pay on time.
